Jesus is the chief shepherd of His church. He lovingly and graciously calls under-shepherds, or elders, to steward the church in knowing, leading, feeding, and protecting His flock. The church is called to submit in love to the elders' work of servant leadership, care, and oversight. We discern who God has chosen to be elders through the affirmation of the congregation.

On Sunday, September 17, 2017, we presented three elder candidates for Grace Alameda: David Choi, Eric McKinley, and Gabriel Ruiz. We believe that these are men who meet the biblical requirements for elders in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 and whose care and servant leadership our church would love, respect, and submit to.

We ask every member first prayerfully consider these candidates. Then, we ask that each member give their personal input below. Affirm them, share your concerns, ask any questions. Only our current elders, Jeff and Kai will see the responses. Our hope is to install new elders on Oct. 22. Again, please fill out the form below or click here.

Please continue in prayer for these men and for Grace during this process! Thank you!
